I went through the intro and the first game. I just recived a used copy of Rate your endgame a few days ago. The primary reason is probably that the positions are fairly simplified, and hence can focus on one topic: endgame technique.
Rate Your Endgame is a much, MUCH different type of 'solitaire chess' book, and in fact is the only one I've ever seen that does this format successfully. I bought Zenon Franco's book years ago but strongly disliked it (I ended up giving it to a club mate). I was very eager to get this book, but unfortunately it is very difficult to find it.ĭid you mean Rate Your Endgame? There are 8 used copies in right now, starting at $18.03.
